Connect Naver Mail to Grok
Yes — Grok can read, search and reply to your Naver Mail through Mailopoly. Connect Naver Mail to Mailopoly over IMAP, once IMAP is enabled in Naver Mail settings, add Mailopoly to Grok as a custom connector, sign in and ask. One connection covers Naver Mail and every other account you own. IMAP is off by default in Naver Mail and has to be switched on in the mail settings before any app can connect.
7-day free trial, no credit card.
Before you start
- A Mailopoly account — 7-day free trial, no credit card.
- IMAP is off by default in Naver Mail and has to be switched on in the mail settings before any app can connect.
- Grok at grok.com or in the Grok apps. On Grok Business or Enterprise, an admin adds the connector for the team first.
Connect Naver Mail to Grok in three steps

2 Add Mailopoly to Grok
This part is the same whatever you connected in step 1.
Add Mailopoly to Grok
These steps are taken from public documentation, and we haven't yet checked each one in Grok ourselves. If a label doesn't match what you see, Grok's own help page, linked below, has the current wording.
- Go to grok.com/connectors.
- Choose New Connector, then Custom, and enter
https://fastapi.prod.aws.mailopoly.com/mcp-server/as the MCP server URL. If it asks for a name, use Mailopoly. - Sign in with your Mailopoly account when prompted, then choose what Grok is allowed to do. Reading, making changes and sending are separate permissions.
- Back in a chat, ask.
Grok takes Mailopoly as a custom connector, so the only thing to paste is one address. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin adds the connector for the team first in the xAI console. This is Grok's chat at grok.com and in the Grok apps; a Grok Bot has its own guide.
3 Ask about your Naver Mail
Whatever you've connected to Mailopoly is what your assistant can reach. Some things people ask on day one:
- What's new in my Naver Mail Cleanbox today?
- Find the order confirmation in my Naver Mail and tell me when it arrives.
- Reply to the last message from my Naver address.
Naver Mail server settings
Mailopoly fills these in for you when you enter your address. They're here in case you need to check them or your provider uses something unusual.
| IMAP server | imap.naver.com |
|---|---|
| Port | 993 |
| Security | SSL/TLS |
| Username | Your full email address |
| Password | Your Naver password, or an app password if two-step verification is on |
What Grok can do with Naver Mail through Mailopoly
- Search Naver Mail — and every other account you own — in one question. By sender, date, topic, or the half-remembered phrase somewhere in the body.
- Read your Cleanbox, not your whole inbox. Mailopoly sorts Naver Mail as it arrives: personal and important mail in Cleanbox, promotions and newsletters in Other. Ask for either.
- Summarise a thread, a day or a week. "What did the school send this week?" comes back as an answer, not a list of links.
- Reply from your Naver Mail address, in your voice. Save a draft to Mailopoly for review, or send — sending is a separate permission and a confirm-first action.
- Schedule a send for later, and cancel it if you change your mind.
- Pull out invoices, events and deliveries. Amounts and due dates, calendar invitations, parcel tracking — extracted on arrival and added to My Day.
- Find an attachment. Every attachment from Naver Mail lands in PolyBox, so "find the PDF the accountant sent" just works.
- Unsubscribe, snooze, file and mark read from the chat, on whichever account the mail belongs to.
Reading, making changes and sending are separate permissions you grant when you connect, and you can revoke Grok at any time from Settings → Security in the Mailopoly app. More on the security page.
What goes wrong with Naver Mail, and the fix
- IMAP is off until you enable it. A correct password still fails while IMAP/SMTP is switched off in Naver Mail settings.
- With two-step verification on, Naver issues an application password — use that instead of your account password.
- Use your full email address as the username, not just the part before the @.
- No Custom option under New Connector: on Grok Business and Enterprise, connectors are managed by an admin in the xAI console — ask them to add Mailopoly for the team.
