Connect Comcast Email to Grok
Yes — Grok can read, search and reply to your Comcast Email through Mailopoly. Connect Comcast Email to Mailopoly with a Yahoo-generated app password, add Mailopoly to Grok as a custom connector, sign in and ask. One connection covers Comcast email and every other account you own. Comcast has moved @comcast.net email to Yahoo Mail, so you sign in with your full @comcast.net address and a Yahoo app password; your Xfinity password won't work.
7-day free trial, no credit card.
This guide also covers Xfinity email and comcast.net — the steps are the same.
Before you start
- A Mailopoly account — 7-day free trial, no credit card.
- Comcast has moved @comcast.net email to Yahoo Mail, so you sign in with your full @comcast.net address and a Yahoo app password; your Xfinity password won't work.
- Grok at grok.com or in the Grok apps. On Grok Business or Enterprise, an admin adds the connector for the team first.
Connect Comcast Email to Grok in three steps
1 Connect Comcast Email to Mailopoly
- Start a Mailopoly account at mailopoly.com/sign-up — 7-day free trial, no credit card.
- Sign in to your Comcast mailbox on Yahoo, open Account Security and choose Generate app password. Name it Mailopoly. Yahoo's help article on Comcast mail covers the move.
- Copy the app password. Yahoo shows it once.
- In Mailopoly choose Add email account, enter your full @comcast.net address, and paste the app password in the password field. Mailopoly uses Yahoo's mail server for you.

2 Add Mailopoly to Grok
This part is the same whatever you connected in step 1.
Add Mailopoly to Grok
These steps are taken from public documentation, and we haven't yet checked each one in Grok ourselves. If a label doesn't match what you see, Grok's own help page, linked below, has the current wording.
- Go to grok.com/connectors.
- Choose New Connector, then Custom, and enter
https://fastapi.prod.aws.mailopoly.com/mcp-server/as the MCP server URL. If it asks for a name, use Mailopoly. - Sign in with your Mailopoly account when prompted, then choose what Grok is allowed to do. Reading, making changes and sending are separate permissions.
- Back in a chat, ask.
Grok takes Mailopoly as a custom connector, so the only thing to paste is one address. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin adds the connector for the team first in the xAI console. This is Grok's chat at grok.com and in the Grok apps; a Grok Bot has its own guide.
3 Ask about your Comcast email
Whatever you've connected to Mailopoly is what your assistant can reach. Some things people ask on day one:
- What did Xfinity bill me this month? Check my Comcast email.
- Summarise the last week of my Comcast Cleanbox.
- Reply to the neighbourhood association email from my Comcast address.
Comcast Email server settings
Mailopoly fills these in for you when you enter your address. They're here in case you need to check them or your provider uses something unusual.
| IMAP server | imap.mail.yahoo.com |
|---|---|
| Port | 993 |
| Security | SSL/TLS |
| Username | Your full email address |
| Password | Yahoo app password (not your Xfinity password) |
What Grok can do with Comcast Email through Mailopoly
- Search Comcast Email — and every other account you own — in one question. By sender, date, topic, or the half-remembered phrase somewhere in the body.
- Read your Cleanbox, not your whole inbox. Mailopoly sorts Comcast email as it arrives: personal and important mail in Cleanbox, promotions and newsletters in Other. Ask for either.
- Summarise a thread, a day or a week. "What did the school send this week?" comes back as an answer, not a list of links.
- Reply from your Comcast email address, in your voice. Save a draft to Mailopoly for review, or send — sending is a separate permission and a confirm-first action.
- Schedule a send for later, and cancel it if you change your mind.
- Pull out invoices, events and deliveries. Amounts and due dates, calendar invitations, parcel tracking — extracted on arrival and added to My Day.
- Find an attachment. Every attachment from Comcast email lands in PolyBox, so "find the PDF the accountant sent" just works.
- Unsubscribe, snooze, file and mark read from the chat, on whichever account the mail belongs to.
Reading, making changes and sending are separate permissions you grant when you connect, and you can revoke Grok at any time from Settings → Security in the Mailopoly app. More on the security page.
What goes wrong with Comcast Email, and the fix
- Your Xfinity password won't work. Since the move to Yahoo, mail apps need a Yahoo app password generated from the account security page.
- The mail server is Yahoo's, imap.mail.yahoo.com — not a comcast.net address. Mailopoly fills this in.
- If your mailbox hasn't been moved yet, the Yahoo steps won't apply. Contact Mailopoly support and we'll connect it to Comcast's own servers.
- No Custom option under New Connector: on Grok Business and Enterprise, connectors are managed by an admin in the xAI console — ask them to add Mailopoly for the team.
- Setting up a Grok Bot instead? This guide is for Grok's chat at grok.com and in the Grok apps. A Grok Bot has its own guide: Connect Grok Bot to your email.
